The boys and I had a good day. It was a rather long day but, good. Patrick is at school. He has officially started his first module- pharmacology. That makes him a 2.
Micah still likes to sing and when he sings Old MacDonald had a Farm he sings DI- DI oh. He has many a memory of me purging the house and taking DI runs back in the day. We refer to Goodwill as DI.
As Micah was getting his camouflage jammies on he was all sorts of excited and said that he was going to get a gun and shoot a bird. When I asked why he wanted to shoot a bird he simply replied, "because I am bad".
Asher still continues to throw his food all over the kitchen instead of eating it. I don't understand.
The two of them have so much fun together. They literally entertain themselves and play all day. What would I do if I had high maintenance children and actually had to interact with them?
Asher got another haircut on Saturday. He did great sucking on his lollipop all covered with hair. It went quick and he looks very cute. I think that we will let Micah grow out his hair again. It didn't help much with the thumb sucking (he loves to twirl his hair while he his sucking his thumb). Nothing has seemed to help him kick the habit other than telling him that the little squirrel that lives in our backyard tree eats thumbs. He was concerned. He really liked the squirrel and now is extra cautious of him. We can watch him every morning climbing on our fence and running all around. He is a wild one and a thumb eater.
I have been trying to have school with Micah during one of Asher's naps. It has gone okay- we have only had two sessions due to my laziness. He gets excited about it and loves to write in his school books with his school pencil from his school box. I enjoy it as well when I decide to just do it. He gets a little frustrated when I tell him that he needs to hold his pencil differently. He gets annoyed (understandably so) and says that he is going to hold it the wrong way(in a rather chipper, sarcastic voice). Today before we started "school" he said "Mama, I am not going to freak out". Good decision.
Asher loves shoes like nothing else. He especially loves to wear shoes that belong to me or his Dad. It is pretty cute- most of the time. He has thrown many a fits because I took off his shoes or because I wouldn't let him wear them to bed. I don't always get things my way and he has often worn his socks and shoes to bed. He has little froggy rain boots that he could wear all day and night. I like them because they are easy to put on. Not only does he like shoes but, he likes glasses. He has a pretty cool pair of batman sunglasses. He wore Mr. Potato Head's glasses all afternoon the other day. I love seeing him try and keep them on his face.
To end this post and our day here is a picture of Micah and one of Asher.
