Update

Let's see, Micah and Asher are asleep and Patrick is in the office studying. Elias is kicking me and moving all over. He is so active. I am so ready to meet him and watch him. It will beat staring at my stomach and watching it jump.

I have a roast in the crock pot and it smells good. The boys were really good at church and looked so handsome in their outfits. I love dressing them up and doing their hair. We are still letting Micah's hair grow out.

Asher's second birthday is this coming Tuesday! He is definitely acting like a two year old - good or bad. We are having a family celebration on Tuesday and then a party with the Bludorns and Muhlesteins on Wednesday. We bought him a drum. We are expecting him to be thrilled to have it. He has been eying it for months and says drum and tries making a beat on everything. Micah also wants one. This could be the cause for brotherly love or some nice brotherly beating.

I am way beyond nesting at this point. Last night I vacuumed out the car and after washing all the car seat covers and thoroughly detailing each one of them, we installed all three in our car. Luckily they fit safely and nicely. The first comment Micah made when we got in the car was, "Hey, this looks like Emmy's car now!" No mini van for us, unless someone wants to donate a Routan. On to the nesting - I have formula up the whazoo in the cupboard next to newly washed bottles. His drawer and his closet are full of clothes organized by size, of course. His bassinet and baby swing have new batteries in them, the diaper bag is packed. We are ready.

Asher is now awake. He is so cute. I love his little voice. I will end for now and follow up later with some new pictures of the boys.

The Fireman and the Pirate

Halloween!

We spent Halloween weekend in PA with the Bludorns. It was a lot of fun. The boys loved their costumes from Oma Gayle. It was fun seeing them go trick - or- treating with their cousins. We all started off together and then Big Matt took off with Ellie and Little Matt so that they could keep up their fast pace. Later Emmy and I took Asher and Clara home because their little hands were getting cold. Patrick stayed out with Micah and Josh. They were very proud showing off their loot when they got home. It is so nice having family close, even if close is 3.5 hours away.

Tonight we got to skype Oma and Opa Fruit. It was neat. I love my Grandparents. Asher and Micah put on a good show for them and they ate it up. I can't wait to see them again. Patrick is busy studying in the office for his next tests. He has three tomorrow. I don't know how he keeps up with school. It is impressive. He has been sick again, he is always sick with a cold or some sinus crap. I am feeling very pregnant because I am very pregnant. I have about 5 and a half weeks to go. I am so ready to see little Elias. I am betting he will be pretty cute.

The boys

October, already?

Fall is definitely here and has been for quiet a few weeks. I love it.

We are going to try and fly out to Utah for Christmas and stay a few weeks. Baby Elias will be so tiny. Hopefully he will be nice and hairy like his brothers were so that he won't freeze. His due date is December 18th. I am hoping to be induced on the 11th.

We have phase one of three on line of our holiday cards. We will also be offering coordinating gift tags. If you wan to check out what we have to offer go to www.bephotodesigns.com
I know it is a bit early to be thinking about Christmas, we caved under peer pressure.

Asher and Micah are doing well and are excited for Elias. I will post some pictures later today. Have a lovely day!

Another night

I am trying to edit pictures from a shoot but find myself wasting time on the internet. Patrick is still at school and the boys are in bed. Asher is protesting about something and keeps saying "nein, nein, nein". I think that Micah might be asleep. I am about to open up a carton of Graeter's cookie dough ice cream that I bought for Jan our neighbor who just had a spinal tap and other fun procedures done. I guess I deserve it more. Good night!

Elias Patrick Ellsworth

Why Elias? Because we really like it. His name is also biblical like Micah and Asher. And no, we weren't going for any theme. I have felt him kick and move around and Patrick has felt him once. My placenta is interior this time meaning it acts like a shock absorber so I don't feel as much. It is kind of weird. My next appointment is next Tuesday. Every appointment except one I have had Patrick, Micah, and Asher with me - that one appointment was hell. Patrick was not able to come. It was an ultrasound and I got such a work out trying to keep them occupied. The boys did smash crackers everywhere and were a little annoying to the tech but, other than that they did a fine job.

Emmy and I did a newborn photo shoot together last week. The baby was great and he was very cute. The Mom just picked up her cd.

I have been purging the house again and it feels so good. I went through all of the baby stuff . Elias has quite the wardrobe. I can't wait to meet him. Maybe he will look like his Papa.

The boys and I went to Greensburg, PA with Emmy and her kids last Thursday. Patrick drove up Friday and we stayed until Sunday. We helped organize, and decorate. It was fun. We love having them close. Emmy and I started the big job of editing the wedding pictures. We should be done this coming week. She will be here with the kids somethime this weekend.

Patricks last day at his research internship is Friday! Financial Aid is disbursed on Monday!

A few things that I don't want to forget

The boys and I had a good day. It was a rather long day but, good. Patrick is at school. He has officially started his first module- pharmacology. That makes him a 2.

Micah still likes to sing and when he sings Old MacDonald had a Farm he sings DI- DI oh. He has many a memory of me purging the house and taking DI runs back in the day. We refer to Goodwill as DI.

As Micah was getting his camouflage jammies on he was all sorts of excited and said that he was going to get a gun and shoot a bird. When I asked why he wanted to shoot a bird he simply replied, "because I am bad".

Asher still continues to throw his food all over the kitchen instead of eating it. I don't understand.

The two of them have so much fun together. They literally entertain themselves and play all day. What would I do if I had high maintenance children and actually had to interact with them?

Asher got another haircut on Saturday. He did great sucking on his lollipop all covered with hair. It went quick and he looks very cute. I think that we will let Micah grow out his hair again. It didn't help much with the thumb sucking (he loves to twirl his hair while he his sucking his thumb). Nothing has seemed to help him kick the habit other than telling him that the little squirrel that lives in our backyard tree eats thumbs. He was concerned. He really liked the squirrel and now is extra cautious of him. We can watch him every morning climbing on our fence and running all around. He is a wild one and a thumb eater.

I have been trying to have school with Micah during one of Asher's naps. It has gone okay- we have only had two sessions due to my laziness. He gets excited about it and loves to write in his school books with his school pencil from his school box. I enjoy it as well when I decide to just do it. He gets a little frustrated when I tell him that he needs to hold his pencil differently. He gets annoyed (understandably so) and says that he is going to hold it the wrong way(in a rather chipper, sarcastic voice). Today before we started "school" he said "Mama, I am not going to freak out". Good decision.

Asher loves shoes like nothing else. He especially loves to wear shoes that belong to me or his Dad. It is pretty cute- most of the time. He has thrown many a fits because I took off his shoes or because I wouldn't let him wear them to bed. I don't always get things my way and he has often worn his socks and shoes to bed. He has little froggy rain boots that he could wear all day and night. I like them because they are easy to put on. Not only does he like shoes but, he likes glasses. He has a pretty cool pair of batman sunglasses. He wore Mr. Potato Head's glasses all afternoon the other day. I love seeing him try and keep them on his face.

To end this post and our day here is a picture of Micah and one of Asher.

We are back

No more going months and months with out posting. Our goal is to write once a week. Asher is napping and Micah and Patrick are watching beatboxers on Youtube. Micah thinks that he can beatbox fairly well. Patrick took the day off from research and studying, or at least I hope.

We find out this Wednesday what we are having! We are very excited. Micah is sure that it is a boy. He is also sure that the little guy will have gray hair - oh and his name is Clifford. Why not? Micah thinks that it is pretty weird the baby will be naked when he is born. Micah likes to talk to the baby so I told him that the baby can only understand German. I don't think that Asher gets that there will be a baby, nor does he really care. He still has his shoe fetish. He has gone to bed many a nights with his socks and shoes on. He loves to wear his rubber boots and that makes for really smelly feet, 19 months and he already has sweat issues.

The weather here has been so mild and pretty. We spend a lot of time outside on the swing set. We discovered a really cool sprinkler park yesterday and spent a couple of hours there. The boys got worn out. Life is good and is abut to get better with our best friends Matt and Emmy moving to Pennsylvania - only a 3 hour drive! Matt will be attending medical school at LECOM (good job, Matt). The boys and I drove out to lovely and small Greensburg to look for a place the Bludorns could call home. We had success. It was a fun road trip. They will be living in a cute white house. They even have a yard!

I am off to try and get something accomplished.

We're boring people with exciting news.

BreAnne is pregnant! I (Patrick) found this out after a remarkably routine day studying at school. I came home to a list on the door. On the list BreAnne welcomed me home, and had a list of the day's activities. At the end of the respectably long list, she casually wrote that she is pregnant. I thought she was joking, but the note led me upstairs where the positive pregnancy stick was waiting to confirm the unexpected claim. I ran downstairs laughing and crying and cheering and hugging BreAnne. We're so excited. He or she should be coming in December, making him/her 2 years younger than Asher. I can't believe it! We can't wait for baby #3! We will have had a baby in Utah, Germany, and Ohio... Baby Wakefield will have a cousin to play with! Finally, cousins that are the same age.
